A Bit About Ashley
Wyoming is Ashley’s home, and Cheyenne is where her heart is. When she’s not making a living and raising a family in Cheyenne, Ashley wanders north to Montana to her family cabin on Seeley Lake. This is what she calls “home away from home.” Most of her favorite childhood memories and inspirations come from time spent at the cabin. Ashley’s passion for Wyoming is primarily because of the people who live here and no matter who they are, they will sit down together for an ice cold beer and University of Wyoming football. As a UW alum, Ashley is very proud of our only University. Before UW, she first attended LCCC to obtain her associates in Mass Media, where she developed a strong passion for getting to know the landscape of Wyoming’s media, which is unique and fun, just like our state.
Ashley has had an exciting career, starting with marketing for Anheuser-Busch as a local contemporary marketing rep. She juggled this exciting first gig while also taking on a real job after graduating from UW, where she explored public relations for the energy industry. Along with her initial experience, Ashley brings experience in media from the state government sector, communications for uranium mining and management of customer service. A piece of her career that stands out from the rest was as a buyer for a large western retailer, Corral West Ranchwear. She got to work with vendors to make custom designed western boots, and has a collection of boots that dominates her closet. When this retailer went bankrupt, she went back to her passion of working with the media and doing public relations.
In her spare time…haha! She loves to kick back with friends, experiment with different food on the smoker, garden, and CLEAN! She and her husband also explore the storage auction business for fun and extra time together. The kids like to help too, making it a great family activity.
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”
– Winston Churchill
